1. Steps for the Originality Comparison and Library Turnitin Review  (The section within the purple circle shows the operation of the "WriteAid Similarity Scanner" by the National Library):

(1) Go to the "Application for a Turnitin Plagiarism Checker Account (opens in a new window)" webpage and apply for a Turnitin account.
    ※Each Turnitin class provided by the Library expires in 1 semester. Please apply again for a new class.

(2) After the final draft of the thesis is completed, upload the electronic file (must include cover, abstract, table of contents, main text, and references) to the Turnitin course opened by the library. After the Turnitin report is generated, discuss with your supervisor whether the similarity rate is acceptable. Conduct the subsequent comparison with the "Thesis Similarity Detection Assistance System" of the National Library using the final version before the oral defense.

(3) Complete the account application on the National Library's thesis system webpage. For application instructions, please refer to the Home / Services / Theses / Graduation Reminders for Graduate Students (opens in a new window) to register an account.

(4) Upload the thesis to the National Library's "Thesis Similarity Detection Assistance System" for comparison. For instructions, please refer to the Home / Services / Theses / Graduation Reminders for Graduate Students (opens in a new window) to Upload and View Comparison Results. For incorrect analysis chapters, temporarily exclude the text of the references (bibliography) until the system is improved.

(5) Download the report from the National Library comparison.

(6) Upload the National Library comparison report to the "Upload National Library Report" (opens in a new window) section in the Turnitin system.

(7) Use the "Submission ID" in the report from step 2 (not step 6 National Library) to apply for a Library Turnitin Review. ※ Log in to the library portal and click "Form" at the top to apply.

(8) Print out the review result (opens in a new window) after you received the replied email.

(9) Submit the Originality Comparison Checklist along with the review result and the complete originality report to the advisor for signature.

(10) Provide all the documents to Degree Examination Committee Members on the day of oral defense as reference.
